All about Ty

Mrs. Ty White-Johnson. Ty was born and raised in the beautiful city of Savannah, Georgia. She attended A.E. Beach High School and later moved to Statesboro to attend GSU. Statesboro quickly became her second home as she grew to love and meet. 

Ty completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Georgia Southern University and then her Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from South University.

She’s is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Masters Addiction Counselor as well as Nationally Certified Counselor.  She has worked within the counseling field for over 10 years and overtime has developed a strong passion for counseling and a strong passion for empowering girls and woman.

Ty has practiced in a variety of inpatient and out patient settings since 2009 working with ages 5 and up.  She uses a variety of modalities which incorporate best practices from Cognitive Behavioral, Solution Focused, Reality Therapy and Short-term Problem Solving.

Her interests and specialties include serving clients with: 

  • Grief and Loss 
  • Women's Issues 
  • Childhood Trauma 
  • Anxiety 
  • Depression 
  • Perinatal mood disorders 

She loves writing her Column in the Statesboro Moments Magazine, going to Savannah and being with her family, supporting her husband & being a mom, helping others, fine dining, traveling with her closest friends and building her women-centered nonprofit Refocus Together.
